Russia: Almost $60 million worth of corn was exported from Primorye

Almost 220 thousand tons of corn were exported from Primorye to the countries of the Asia-Pacific region in 2023. At the moment, the region is one of the five Russian regions exporting agricultural products. As reported by the Ministry of Agriculture of the Primorsky Territory, according to preliminary data from the federal customs service, corn worth $57.7 million was declared for export last year. “About 220 thousand tons of environmentally friendly corn were sent from Primorye to Asia-Pacific countries. Including to China - 128.8 thousand tons, Japan - 24.5 thousand tons, the Republic of Korea - 62.8 thousand tons and Georgia - 1.2 thousand tons,” the department noted.
