The general secretaries of the Union of Small Farmers (UPA), Cristóbal Cano, and of the UGT union, Pepe Álvarez, have agreed that it is essential for the Pact of State against the Climate Emergency proposed by the Government to become a reality, with effective measures and away from "populism". Cano and Álvarez closed this Monday the day "Forest fires in the rural environment", organized by both organizations, in which the UGT official expressed support for updating the competencies of the different public administrations, especially the regional ones, after an analysis of what they can contribute to the fight against the effects of climate change.
