The article outlines the ongoing efforts by the Hungarian Ministry of Agriculture to support the hot pepper production sector through various subsidies and initiatives. Since 2015, these efforts have aimed at covering seed and drying costs, as well as including hot pepper growers in production support. Additionally, the significance of technological updates in the sector, particularly in light of shifting market trends and labor challenges, has been emphasized. The Hungarian University of Agriculture and Life Sciences plays a key role in this modernization and graduates around 2,000 agricultural professionals annually.
