Amazonas, Peru: Farmers will receive 10,000 potato tubers of high genetic value

A total of 10,000 high-quality pre-basic potato tubers of the INIA 323 Huayro Amazonense variety have been delivered by the National Institute of Agrarian Innovation (INIA) to the District Municipality of Longuita, province of Luya, Amazon region, so that farmers improve the quality of their agricultural production. This genetic material, produced at the Santa Ana Agricultural Experimental Station, will allow small and medium-sized farmers to obtain high-quality potato seeds that generate good yields per hectare, resistance to major pests and tolerance to climate types.
