Amran: Market Operations for Rice Price Intervention Continue until February 2026

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- The Head of the National Food Agency (Bapanas/NFA) Andi Amran Sulaiman ensures that market operations will continue to be accelerated until February 2026. This step is a form of government intervention to stabilize rice prices, in line with the directives of President Prabowo Subianto. Amran conveyed that the Rice Supply and Price Stabilization Program (SPHP) operated through Perum Bulog still has an allocation of more than one million tons until the end of the year. Thus, market operations can continue without supply disruptions until early next year. “Mr. President ordered continuous market operations. Our stock allocation still has more than one million tons for the SPHP rice. This market operation will continue until January, February 2026.
