An Argentine engineer takes the lead of agriculture in the Southern Cone.

The multinational plant nutrition company Yara Argentina announced the appointment of agricultural engineer Belén Luque as the new Director for the Southern Cone region. The appointment covers the markets of Argentina, Chile, and Uruguay, and marks the return of a professional with more than 15 years of experience within the company to one of the most dynamic agricultural regions in South America. Luque graduated from the National University of Tucumán and began her career at Yara in the Argentine Northwest (NOA). In that stage, she specialized in the nutrition of strategic crops for regional economies, such as sugarcane and citrus, where she worked on the positioning of solutions with lower losses due to volatilization. This technical focus allowed for improved efficiency in the use of nutrients and progress in reducing the carbon footprint.
