Abadan, Iran, has seen an 8-10% increase in date harvest from Nakhilat, with a total of 73,000 tons collected this year, up from 68,000 tons last year. The quality of the dates has improved due to good rainfall and low water temperature, with 65% being Otamran, a high-quality export variety. There are 12 workshopes in Abadan involved in the packaging of these dates. The purchase price for these dates is based on quality, with first-grade colonist dates selling for 27,500 tomans per kilogram and second-grade dates for 23,300 tomans per kilogram.
