The project "Organization, Valuation and Promotion of the Black Truffle of Aragon" has implemented measures to strengthen the sector such as the creation of an observatory to combat fraud, the development of quality standards focused on aroma, and the establishment of a pricing table at the Lonja de Binéfar (Huesca). The initiative, presented this Thursday by the Black Truffle Cooperation Group of Aragon, aims to consolidate rural economies and improve the profitability of truffle farms, allowing producers to receive fairer compensation and optimize their sales channels. Additionally, the project has a social and environmental component, as it is expected to contribute to stabilizing the rural population through job creation and to generate ecological benefits, such as CO₂ absorption by encouraging new plantings.
