The Special Project Chavimochic, through the team of the Biotechnology Laboratory of the Agricultural Development Sub-Management, carried out a technical visit to the farmers of the Agricultural Producers Association “Ollanta”, located in the La Carbonera sector, Nuevo Chimbote district, Ancash region, with the objective of strengthening their productive capacities and promoting alternative high commercial value crops such as the blueberry. The association, led by Genaro Dávila, is made up of 106 small producers who cultivate mango, passion fruit, avocado, and fig, in addition to developing associated crop systems, such as passion fruit with legumes and mango with pineapple, practices that contribute to a more efficient and sustainable production.
