Estimates for olive oil production in Andalusia for the upcoming 2025/2026 campaign indicate that it could reach 1,080,900 million tons, which represents a 5.5% decrease in final production compared to the final production obtained in the last campaign, but is 19.8% higher than the average of the last five campaigns.
In fact, the turnout presented this Thursday in Jaén is the highest in recent years (that of the last campaign was estimated at 1,021,000 tons, although it was ultimately higher). This was pointed out by the Agriculture Minister, Ramón Fernández-Pacheco, who highlighted the importance of these data, "not only for Andalusia, but for the entire country" due to their direct influence on the markets.
The minister explained how "the 2025/26 campaign is marked by a very rainy spring, which has favored the development of the crop; however, the high summer temperatures have made it difficult to develop the fruits."
