The article highlights a new project titled 'Generating synergies to promote innovations and sustainable development of Andean grains' in Peru, funded by the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID) and managed by Cedepas Norte in collaboration with 10 other institutions. The project aims to benefit 2,500 families across the provinces of Sánchez Carrión and Santiago de Chuco, with 455 families receiving direct benefits and 2,050 receiving indirect benefits. The initiative is focused on promoting the sustainable cultivation of tarwi and quinoa, with a special emphasis on gender equality and economic development in the region.
