Animal Health Surveillance reinforces safety and well-being of small animals arriving at Expointer

The Assis Brasil State Exhibition Park in Esteio has already received around 800 small animals – chickens and rabbits – for the 48th Expointer, which opens its doors this Saturday (30/8). To ensure the sanitary safety and well-being of the animals, as well as the protection of the public, 125 employees from the Department of Animal Health Surveillance and Defense, including veterinarians, animal scientists, and agricultural technicians, have been working since Sunday (24) on the sanitary admission and zootechnical control of the specimens. Diversity is one of the highlights of the Small Animal Pavilion: there are 33 breeds of birds, 28 of rabbits, and four of birds on display.
