The Food Technology Awards aim to discover and reward outstanding products that contribute to the development of the domestic food industry, spreading technological competitiveness and driving industry growth. It has been held annually since 2016, marking its 10th year this year. In the technology award category, LG Household & Healthcare's 'K-Tensyl' received the Minister of Science and ICT Award, and Echiwa's 'Yakurt XO' received the Minister of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs Award. 'K-Tensyl' utilizes lactic acid bacteria fermented oyster extract (FGO), an individual recognized ingredient by the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety, for human use.
