A couple of years ago, it was just a somewhat complex idea, which had only been seen in some fields in other countries and required many adjustments. Today, it is a proposal that is attracting international interest and has proven effectiveness: the integrated management of sheep grazing and fruit trees is a reality. The basis of the idea is simple and several have tested it: sheep are introduced into a plot planted with fruits, olive trees, and even vines, to feed on the grasses that grow between the plants. Double gain, as the animals fatten while controlling weeds. And the producer has a double income from the same area.
