Poland: Apple exports in January, Lithuania surprises

In January 2024, the structure of our apple exports changed significantly. However, what is most surprising is the export to Lithuania. In January, we exported 73 thousand tons of dessert apples (in the previous year the result was better by 1,000 tons). In the first month of 2024, dessert apples reached 55 countries. Additionally, 1,000 tons of our industrial apples were exported. Interestingly, the largest recipient of our apples in January was Lithuania - 5,650 tons, then Germany, and in third place the Netherlands. Shipments to Western Europe are very interesting. Importers from France, Belgium and the Netherlands bought almost 10,000 tons of apples from us in the first month of the year.
