In January 2024, apple exports underwent a significant shift with 73 thousand tons of dessert apples and 1,000 tons of industrial apples being exported to 55 countries. Lithuania was the largest recipient, followed by Germany and the Netherlands. Western Europe, including France, Belgium, and the Netherlands, imported nearly 10,000 tons, likely due to depleted local market stocks. This diversification in export recipients is viewed as a positive development for trade and pricing.
