Apple harvest in Spain increases, pear harvest decreases

Cooperativas Agro-alimentarias de España publishes its estimate of the apple and pear harvest. In this country, apple production will be just over nine percent higher than last year, while pear production will fall by almost fifteen percent. The sum of both pip fruits gives a positive result compared to the previous campaign in terms of the quantity harvested. The forecast speaks of five hundred and sixty-six thousand tons of apple and two hundred and forty-three thousand tons of pear. The golden variety is the majority variety in apple, followed by gala.
