Peru: More than 13 tons of oat seeds will be delivered to producers

The Regional Agriculture Management of Arequipa will acquire more than 13 tons of oat seeds to distribute them to 1,395 producers in the provinces of Arequipa, Castilla, Caylloma and Condesuyos. This purchase will be made within the framework of Budget Program 068 “Vulnerability Reduction and Disaster Emergency Response.” Oat seeds will be sown in the high Andean areas during the last quarter of the year and will serve as forage to feed approximately 113,125 heads of livestock (alpacas and llamas) during the dry season.
