The Regional Government of Arequipa has distributed 33,250 kilos of pig feed to the Punta de Bombón Pig Breeders Association, as part of the Procompite competitive fund. The association's business plan, which receives an investment of S/88,900, aims to enhance the pork industry through the use of balanced feeds and basic equipment. The feed will be used to improve the quality of piglets, leading to higher meat yield, reduced rearing time, and lower feed consumption. This initiative is part of wider efforts to bolster the pork production chain, including the acquisition of purebred sows and boars.
