The governments of Argentina and the United States closed, this Thursday (13), a trade agreement that includes the export of proteins and strategic inputs. The pact, which comes into effect on November 26, expands access for Argentine beef to the North American market. In practice, the U.S. reduces tariffs and unblocks barriers for the entry of Argentine protein. The measure is expected to increase the competitiveness of local slaughterhouses in one of the most competitive markets in the world. Meanwhile, Argentina grants tariff preferences for American goods, including technology and agricultural machinery, and will eliminate import licenses.
