The government of Argentina on Monday increased the prices of biofuels for the domestic market, according to two decrees published in the official gazette.
The Secretariat of Energy set the minimum price for sugar cane-based bioethanol at 824,044 pesos per liter (0.62 USD), higher than the previous price of 800,043 pesos.
Meanwhile, the minimum price for corn-based bioethanol increased to 755,258 pesos per liter (0.57 USD) from 733,26 pesos.
The price for biodiesel, intended for mandatory blending with diesel fuel, was set at a minimum of 1,354,507 pesos per tonne (1,021 USD), compared to 1,302,411 pesos.
The government stated that the prices will be in effect for transactions made in August and until new prices are published.
