Argentina's dairy exports experienced a significant increase of over 41% in May compared to the previous year, as per the National Institute of Statistics and Census (INDEC) and the Argentine Commercial Exchange (ICA). The Observatory of the Argentine Milky Chain (OCLA) reported that not only did the volume of exports rise by 41.06%, but the value of exports increased by 53%, indicating a global rise in dairy prices. The exports consisted mainly of powdered milk (47%), followed by cheeses (24.5%), and other products like dulce de leche, butter, and whey (19.1%). These exports made up 26.3% of the total production in May, showing a increase of over 21% in the first five months of the year. The export destinations included Brazil, Algeria, Russia, Chile, and other countries, contributing to a 21.5% growth in foreign exchange income for the country.
