Starting from March 1, Argentine poultry will re-enter the European Union (EU) market. The news was confirmed today with the publication of Regulation 2026/278 in the Official Journal of that bloc. This destination had been closed since mid-last year when an outbreak of highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) was detected in the province of Buenos Aires. After recovering its sanitary status as a country free of this disease, in compliance with the recommendations of the World Organization for Animal Health (OIE), the country made efforts to achieve the reopening of this highly valuable commercial destination.
