The National Yerba Mate Institute (INYM) has reported a 14.5% increase in international sales of Argentine yerba mate in the first five months of the year, totaling 17,111,700 kilos. Domestic sales, on the other hand, saw a decrease, with a total of 99,378,240 kilos. The report also highlighted a fluctuation in export volumes throughout the years, with a notable decrease in 2021 and a significant recovery in 2022. The smaller formats continue to dominate the market, representing 55.09% of mill outputs to the domestic market in May 2024.
