Armenia has decided to extend its ban on exporting certain grains and sunflower products outside the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) for an additional six months. This decision, made during a government meeting, affects wheat, barley, corn, buckwheat, sunflower seeds, and sunflower oil. The extension aims to ensure food security and economic stability due to the country's insufficient domestic production, which relies on imports. Notably, the ban does not impact 're-export' activities from Armenia. The current extension, which was previously implemented in June, is scheduled to expire on January 3, 2025.
