As of August 8, South Korea's imports of fresh salmon decreased by 7% year-on-year

In 2023, imports of fresh salmon saw a decrease of 16%, from $250,999 to $211,989. The majority of the imports, 13,754 tons, were sourced from Norway. Chile contributed 375 tons and Canada 90 tons. The price per kilogram varied by country, with Norwegian salmon being the most expensive at $14.91, followed by Chilean at $12.78, and Canadian at the lowest price of $12.33.
