Ghana: Ashanti Regional Coordinating Council to arrest stray cattle damaging planted trees

Ashanti Regional Coordinating Council has announced plans to arrest cattle that destroy trees planted in the region, particularly those off reserves. Regional Minister Simon Osei Mensah highlighted that royal palms planted in the city are being damaged by cattle, resulting in significant losses to the state. He emphasized that the council will not tolerate this destruction and will ensure that the cattle are detained and their owners fined before the animals are released.
