At the agricultural school in Las Flores, Buenos Aires, they are aiming higher. Amid the children's enthusiasm, the teachers' knowledge, and the help of producers and livestock agents, they are transforming a general breeding herd into an Angus stud farm. Esteban Mendigochea is leading the project. He is responsible for the breeding livestock section at Agricultural Secondary Education School 1 in that Buenos Aires district. At the recent Angus Autumn Week, the school received recognition from the Argentine Angus Association, and the students received their respective diplomas. We spoke with them about the school and this particular project. Esteban said: "We always manage between 80 and 85 breeding cows and about 3 bulls. At a Sáenz Valiente auction in Las Flores, we sold feedlot calves and cull cows and with that bought 5 Angus heifers from the Las Blancas stud of Delfinagro".
