Australia already sees rising Chinese demand for barley

The Australian Bureau of Statistics estimates that the country exported 418,000 tons of feed barley and 47,800 tons of malting barley, as well as 395,300 tons of sorghum in June, Grain Central reports. At the same time, the shipment volumes of fodder barley were 22% lower than in May and became the lowest since January this year. At the same time, 184 thousand tons were shipped to Saudi Arabia, 155 thousand tons to Japan and 32.5 thousand tons to Thailand. The main volumes of malting barley were exported to Mexico (33 thousand tons), South Korea (9 thousand tons), Singapore (2.5 thousand tons).
