In the 2022-2023 marketing year, Australian grain exports reached a record 47.81 million tonnes, with wheat being the largest export crop, accounting for 66.4% of total grain exports. China was the main buyer of Australian wheat, followed by Indonesia and the Philippines. Barley exports, although not reaching a record, totaled 7.08 million tonnes, with Saudi Arabia being the top importer. Rapeseed exports reached an all-time high of 6.16 million tonnes, with the European Union being the largest destination. Sorghum exports also saw an increase, with China being the dominant buyer.
