The Australian Almond Association has forecasted a significant increase in the country's almond kernel production for the upcoming season, with an expected output of 164,700 tons. This is due to improved weather conditions compared to the previous season. The association also anticipates that the annual almond output will surpass 200,000 tons within the next 3-5 years. To support this growth, investments are being made to expand production capacity, including a new facility with a capacity of 17,500 tons. Efforts are also underway to boost demand for Australian almonds in high-value export markets such as China, India, Europe, the UK, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia.
