Australia's red meat production has seen a significant increase, leading to a surge in export volumes. In February, exports of lamb and mutton reached a record high of 52,351 shipped weight tonnes (swt). The United States was the largest market for Australian lamb, with exports increasing by 36% year-on-year to 7,543 swt. Beef exports also saw a 33% increase to 93,834 swt, with Japan being the largest market. Additionally, the United States became the largest export market for Australian goat meat in February, with a 143% increase in exports to 2,149 swt.
