In 2022, Austria's oilseeds production surpassed 473 thousand tons, a 7% increase from the previous year and 12% higher than the average of the last 10 years, with soybean yield increasing by 4% to 245.6 thousand tons. The expansion of sown areas under crops by 22% also contributed to this increase. Although the area under rapeseed remained the same, the production increased by 6% due to high yields per hectare. However, the gross grain harvest decreased by 2%. The wheat harvest increased by 10%, corn by 2.1 million tons (-13%), barley by 3%, triticale by 10%, rye by 11%, and oats by 5%.
