Despite a dip in June, Brazil's chicken meat exports have seen an increase from 428.2 thousand tons per month in 2023 to 431.4 thousand tons in the first half of 2024. However, the total exports in the first half of the year were 1.6% lower than the previous year at 2.588 million tons. The revenue for the first half was also 10.3% lower at US$4.636 billion. China remains the primary market for these exports, importing 276.1 thousand tons in the first half of the year, although this is 29% lower than the same period in 2023. The United Arab Emirates, Japan, and Saudi Arabia also contribute significantly to the demand for Brazilian chicken meat. The Brazilian Animal Protein Association (ABPA) remains optimistic about the future, anticipating positive results for 2024.
