In January 2024, Azerbaijan saw a significant decrease in wheat imports, dropping by 50.8% to 70.145 thsd tonnes, with a total value of $16 mln. 283.9 thousand, a decrease of 62.5% compared to the same period in 2023. Despite this, the country continued to import a variety of goods including vegetable oils, tea, butter, meat, and various fruits and vegetables. On the export side, goods such as vegetables, fruits, potatoes, sugar, oil, fruit and vegetable juices, natural grape wines and grape must, canned fruit and vegetables, tobacco, and tea were exported.
