In 2022, Azerbaijan's agricultural sector experienced a 6% decrease in grain and leguminous crop harvest compared to the previous year, totaling 3.161 million tons. Despite this, the sunflower harvest saw a significant 13.8% increase, reaching 29.4 thousand tons. As of December 24, 2022, 1.055 hectares were sown with winter crops, with 98.7% of this area dedicated to grain crops, which increased by 2.5%. This includes a 7.3% increase in wheat and a 646.2 thousand hectare sowing, but a decrease of 4.6% in barley.
