Azerbaijan has seen a 10.7% decrease in spring crop sowing area compared to last year, according to the State Statistics Committee, with the total area sown being 341.8 thousand hectares as of June 1. The sown area includes cereals and leguminous crops, sunflower, and sugar beets. The harvest of new crops began in May, with a 49.9% increase in grain crop harvest compared to last year. From January to May, Azerbaijan's agricultural production grew by 5.2% year-on-year, reaching 3.116 billion manats, with livestock production increasing by 3.5% and crop production by 10.9%.
