Farmer Mr. Tran Xuan Tho and Mr. Bui Thanh Hung from Vietnam have found success in switching to organic pepper farming, despite initial lower yields. The approach, which avoids toxic chemicals, has proven to be more profitable in the long run and is better for the environment. The Chau Duc District Farmers' Association is promoting organic pepper farming, and a cooperative aims to expand its organic pepper production area. The district also has plans to form more organic production chains and has signed contracts to purchase organic pepper. Other companies are also involved in purchasing dry pepper from farmers.
