Bulgaria's agricultural trade amounts to 13,476.8 million euros, representing a 4.7% decrease on an annual basis. The export of agricultural goods is valued at 6,739.5 million euros - 15.1% below the 2023 level, mainly due to a decline in the sales of grains and oilseeds and of derivative products such as sunflower oil, meal, and other animal feed. This is evident from the data in the Agrarian Report 2025, which reflects the situation in agriculture over the past year. The lower export of these products is mainly due to the relatively poor harvest of some grains and oilseeds - sunflower, corn, and rapeseed, in most cases combined with a decrease in average export prices. At the same time, agricultural imports are increasing by 8.6%, to 6,737.3 million euros. In this situation, in 2024, the traditionally positive balance in Bulgaria's trade in agricultural goods fell to 2.2 million euros.
