The Ministry of Industry, Trade, and Supply of Jordan has purchased 60 thousand tons of feed barley of arbitrary origin at an international tender, out of a planned 120 thousand tons, reported the electronic edition APK-Inform, citing its sources among market participants. The winner of the tender is the company Souflett, which will supply the barley for $270 per ton C&F. For comparison - at the last successful tender for the import of feed barley in Jordan, held a week earlier, the delivery of 120 thousand tons was agreed at $272.75 per ton C&F, and at the tender in Tunisia at the end of last week, the planned 125 thousand tons were purchased for $269.12 per ton C&F. Four more companies participated in the current tender procedure, but their offers remained unsatisfied. The lowest was from Bunge at $271.99 per ton C&F, followed by Cargill at $272.50, Olam at $274.79, and Louis Dreyfus at $283 per ton C&F.
