The Bangkok Fisheries Office has successfully implemented measures to manage the black-chinned tilapia, resulting in the capture of 421 tons. The office is also working towards biodiversity restoration and community participation. In collaboration with Charoen Pokphand Foods Public Company Limited (CPF), they released 10,000 sea bass into natural water sources. The Department of Fisheries is also considering various management methods, including culinary uses, and plans to manage abandoned ponds. Farmers are also contributing by catching the black-chinned tilapia from aquaculture ponds. CPF has supported five black-chinned tilapia management projects, including purchasing fishmeal and organizing activities to catch the tilapia.
