REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, PASURUAN — The National Food Agency (Bapanas) ensures that the national consumption sugar stock is at a safe level ahead of the National Religious Holiday (HBKN) Christmas 2025 and New Year 2026 (Nataru). This assurance of supply is prepared to maintain the smooth consumption of the public and price stability until the end of the year. Bapanas assesses that the current availability of national sugar is supported by strong stock and domestic production. The food balance projection shows that the supply can meet annual needs, even leaving a solid initial reserve entering 2026. Director of Food Consumption Diversification of Bapanas Rinna Syawal said, the national requirement throughout 2025 is estimated to reach 2.8 million tons, with monthly consumption around 230–250 thousand tons.
