Russia: Bashkiria exported 47.5 tons of honey in 2020

The republic supplied beetle honey in wooden barrels to the United Arab Emirates. Bashkiria is developing honey export. According to the Federal Customs Service of Russia, in 2020 the republic exported 47.5 tons of these products for a total amount of 195 thousand US dollars, while in 2019 17.62 tons of honey for 87.55 thousand US dollars were exported. In the rating of exporters of honey from Russia, the region took the eighth place (its share in the total volume of supplies amounted to 3.7%), and among the subjects of the Volga Federal District - the second (39%). Bashkir honey was shipped to Canada, South Korea, China, USA, Kazakhstan and the Netherlands.
