In 2024, Bashkortostan's agricultural producers purchased 2,543 young breeding cattle, predominantly dairy animals, to support the industrialization of the dairy industry and the growth of large farms in the region, with a goal of reaching 50 by 2030. This strategy includes building new dairy complexes and renewing the dairy herd through the purchase of young breeding animals. Purchases are supported by subsidies, with 69% of young breeding animals purchased by farmers outside the republic. Bashkortostan also has potential for improving selection and breeding work internally, with 42 out of 88 breeding organizations focusing on dairy cattle.
