By Marianna Gualter Brasília, 15/12/2025 - The Central Bank's Economic Activity Index (IBC-Br) fell by 0.25% in October, compared to September in the seasonally adjusted series, the authority reported this Monday. In the previous month, the index fell by 0.19% (revised, from -0.24%). The result for October was below the median of the Broadcast Projections survey, which pointed to an increase of 0.10%. Market estimates ranged from a decrease of 0.50% to an increase of 0.56%. The IBC-Br excluding agribusiness, which excludes the effects of the sector from the account, fell by 0.31% in the margin, after a decrease of 0.29% in the previous month (revised, from -0.37%). The agribusiness indicator itself rose by 3.07%, after an advance of 1.86% in September (revised, from 1.51%).
