BC: IC-Br falls 3.04% in November compared to October

By Marianna Gualter Brasília, 03/12/2025 - The Central Bank's Commodity Index (IC-Br) measured in reais fell 3.04% in November compared to October, the authority reported. The decline occurred in agricultural commodities (5.43%), while there was an increase in metals (1.29%) and energy (2.51%). The IC-Br represents the monthly average of prices for a set of commodities considered relevant for the dynamics of inflation in Brazil. The agricultural sector has an approximate weight of 67% in the index, followed by the energy (around 17%) and metals (about 16%) segments. In dollars, the aggregate index fell 2.22% in November, with a decline in the agricultural sector (4.63%) and growth in metals (2.15%) and a decrease in energy (3.35%).
