Brazil's bee products industry, including honey, propolis, wax, pollen, and royal jelly, are seeing increased commercial success both domestically and internationally, with the United States, Canada, and the European Union being primary consumers. In April 2021, Brazil exported US $ 22.5 million in bee products, a 143.9% increase from the same month in 2020, with natural honey being the best-selling item. The Confederation of Agriculture and Livestock of Brazil (CNA) attributes this growth to the dedication of thousands of producers and the meticulous nature of beekeeping. The CNA also highlights the importance of the Art Seal for bee products and supports the strengthening of meliponiculture as part of the Agro.BR Project, an initiative aimed at internationalizing Brazilian agribusiness.
