China's Beijing extends probe into EU brandy and cognac imports by 3 months

China has decided to prolong its anti-dumping investigation into brandy and cognac imports from the European Union due to the intricacy of the issue. The investigation was initiated in January in response to the European Commission's probe into state subsidies for Chinese electric vehicles, which were deemed to skew competition due to their low prices. The initial estimated completion date of the investigation, set by Beijing, was January, but the Ministry of Commerce has extended it until April 5.
