The Small Fruits Observatory in Milan has reported a trend of low prices for blueberries, primarily sourced from Chile, Spain, Peru, and Morocco, and high prices for blackberries, with generally low quality standards. The survey, which involved 20 sales points from 19 brands, identified Aldi, Bennet, Carrefour, Esselunga, Eurospin, Gruppo Pam, Iperal, Lidl, Rewe, and Tigros as offering the best quality. Carrefour Bio had the highest average prices, while Dole Europe offered the lowest average prices for blueberries, which are mostly sold in 125-gram packages.
