The State Fund for Agriculture in Bulgaria has allocated a budget of BGN 1.2 million for 2022 to provide state aid to farmers participating in the Quality Scheme for the production of seeds and planting material. This initiative, now in its third year, aims to promote the production and use of certified seeds for a variety of crops. Eligible small and medium plant growing businesses, which have been permitted to produce sowing and planting material, can receive up to 100% state funding for the certification costs of their high-quality seeds and planting material by the Executive Agency for Variety Testing, Approbation and Seed Control.
