Şemsi Bayraktar, Chairman of the Union of Chambers of Agriculture of Turkey (TZOB), highlighted significant price fluctuations between producers and markets in August. Potatoes saw the largest price drop among producers at 29.8%, while raisins experienced the highest increase at 83.3%. In the market, lemons had the biggest price disparity, being sold at 4.7 times the producer price, and cucumbers saw the highest price rise at 39.4%. Additionally, a 10% increase in the dry onion planting area is expected compared to the previous year.
